Incident Types

There are several incident types that can be reported online. Please see the below list for incident types and descriptions. If the incident you are trying to report falls into one of these categories, please select that category in the dropdown box at the bottom of this page.

Incident Type	Definition	Example
Lost Property	When property is missing or lost.	Property that is missing, leaving items in a restaurant, or missing from home.
Vandalism	The act of changing, modifying or defacing public or private property.	Graffiti, knocking over mailbox, throwing rock through windows, etc.
Vehicle Burglary	Property stolen from a motor vehicle. Note: We do not take stolen vehicle and/or stolen license plate reports online. To file these types of reports, call 951-736-2330 option 2.	Stolen equipment or belongings from a vehicle.
Petty Theft	Your property is taken without your permission, loss is valued at under $950.	Property known to be stolen or missing may be reported. Lost property is not a theft.
Grand Theft	Your property is taken without your permission, loss is valued at over $950.	Property known to be stolen or missing may be reported. Lost property is not a theft.
Annoying Phone Calls	Unwanted phone calls of annoying or harassing nature.	Immediate hang-ups, obscene language, etc. with no known suspects.
Civil or Custody Order Violation	Did not exchange child(ren) at stated time per court order. This form is for minimal violations of the court order. Do not use for missing child, child abduction, or restraining order violation cases.	Child(ren) are to be exchanged at a stated time per the court order and was not done.
